MODELS I LOVE: Abbey Lee Kershaw

Welcome to the newest 'MODELS I LOVE'...! I was confused in choosing between Sasha Pivovarova, Natasha Poly, or Abbey Lee, but at last here it is, Ms. Abbey Lee Kershaw from Australia :-)

So, she was born in June 12, 1987 in Melbourne, Australia, her career in the fashion industry began when she won the Girlfriend CoverGirl Model Search in Australia, and moved to Sydney from Melbourne there after. She currently resides in New York.

She has been in the ad campaign for many top fashion brands like Gucci, Chanel, D&G, GAP, Rag&Bone, Hugo Boss, Versace, etc. And with a 180cm tall, she has walked for many brands too, including for Victoria's Secret in 2008 and 2009.

As for being in the cover of magazines, she has tasted it too, she has ever been in the cover of Chinese, American, French, Korean, Australian, Russian, Italian, Portuguese, German and Japanese VOGUE. See how great she is?

Actually what I really like about Abbey is her fashionable yet effortless style, I also think that she has a unique face and her big blue eyes. In an interview, she was asked what does she like the most about her job, and she answered 'the money, honestly'. lol

In March 2010, it is announced that she will be the face of Chanel's Fall/Winter 2010/2011 ready-to-wear ad campaign. This news comes after she closed the Chanel Spring 2010 couture show, and opened the Chanel Fall/Winter 2010/2011 ready-to-wear show. This must give her a big sum of money!

She's now ranked 5th on the Top 50 Models Women list by models.com

And one of the best thing about her, she is befriended with my favorite models, Freja Beha Erichsen and Karmen Pedaru. I found that it is fantastically hooooiiit!

Abbey Lee has 10 piercings in total including a pierced nose (her left nostril) and a pierced belly button. She also has various tattoos, including her first tattoo, a Gemini symbol on her ankle, "truth" on her inside bottom lip, a heart in an enclosed sketch box behind her right ear, an owl on her right middle finger, the words "index" inscribed on her left index finger, a small Chinese symbol on the bottom of her right big toe, "courtney and timothy" in white ink on her left fore arm and various others on her hands and stomach.

Her boyfriend is rocker Matthew Hutchinson from the band Our Mountain. Okay, that's all for now, ciao!
